- Has no more than five years of experience in the transfer field
- Has made a significant contribution to transfer
- Shows long-term potential in the field of transfer
- Exemplifies a commitment to transfer students
- Must be a NETA Member

Important Notes:
- NETA Board Members are unable to nominate fellow Board Members
- The Awards Committee will be composed of both Board members and general membership, with a non-Board majority
