I want your product management war stories! I'm looking explicitly for stories of product managers who have been in less-than-ideal situations (where things were very much Not Like The Books™) where you either managed to embrace the chaos & thrive or had a complete car crash and ended up walking out.

Why do I want this? Because product management is hard and because there are people struggling in less than ideal organisations working in less than ideal ways and the classic books (which are generally amazing!) represent a world they never get to experience. I want to inspire product managers with stories about real product managers & let them know they're not alone!

How? Depending on level of feedback this will either form the backbone of a book, an online publication, or both!
