we begin with play (#letsgetstupid2020), is envisioned as an abolitionist surrealist visual folk opera political circus laboratory and campaign stump tour designed to provoke critical discussions on Black power and Black
participation in electoral politics.

Drawing on the theories, practices, and traditions of queerness, feminism, abolition, and environmental sustainability, the traveling exhibition will use humor to discuss the state, civil society, and democratic participation.

In August 2020, we are currently seeking Partnering Organizations, Contributing Artists and General Supporters to sustain the working performances, installations and exhibitions in the opera.
