Business Associate Responsibilities
- Participate in after school sales and other fundraisers (apparel, Gertrude Hawk, etc.)
- Actively search and coordinate potential advertisers
- Attend "stuffings" meetings and help distribute newspapers

1) You approach a potential advertiser who is hesitant to advertise in our school newspaper. What possible benefits would you share with the potential advertiser in order to address his or her anxieties? *
2) As a Business Associate, you are working in the real world and not in a simulated scenario. You will be contacting managers/owners of local businesses and must be able to establish effective communication with them. What skills do you possess that enable you to work well with potential clients and how do you plan on further developing them? *
3) The Business Department and its members are required to participate in after-school fundraisers. Do you participate in too many clubs/activities that may hinder you from attending these sales? (Explain. Be honest!) *
4) Excluding the various tutoring services and prom stores that already advertise in our newspaper, which other businesses do you believe would be willing to advertise in our school newspaper? *
