Young-Scientist.in is offering exciting online programs with interactive and engaging sessions.
Depending on the course you can expect hands-on activities, projects, experiments, case studies etc.

Please pre-register for the course you'd like to join.
All these courses are expected to commence between May 1st ,2021 and end in May 31st,2021.


1. YS Paleontology Course (6 yrs to 9 yrs )

Let’s take a journey down the Scientific History of Earth with the “YS History of Earth” workshop series. The series of the workshops will discuss topics on geology and palaeontology combined with interactive activities and simulations.

Includes series of YS workshops on :
1) Story of Earth: Clock of Eras
2) Earth and Volcanoes
3) Dinosaurs
4) Fossils

Eligibility: Class I to IV
Duration: 4 sessions, 6 hrs (Each session runs for 90 minutes)
Start Date : May 15th only on Saturdays and Sundays(Tentatively)
Timings: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Course Fee: ₹1600/-



2. YS Basic Chemistry

They say chemistry is one of the toughest subject at school. But that's not true if you have the opportunity to be able to work hand-in-hand with chemistry by doing some of the reactions and observing their mechanism in a very interesting and engaging way.

Note: A kit containing apparatus and chemicals required for the experiments will be provided as part of the package.

Eligibility: Class V upto class VIII
Duration: 4 Sessions (1.5 hrs each)
Timings: 2.30 - 04.00 pm
Start Date - May 17th
Course Fee:  ₹2350



3. YS Junior Scientist

There exist a scientist in all of us, especially in young children who have a vibrant mind. What better way to bring out this scientist than the exploration of life around them? In this course, we will enable children to get to know the biological world better - starting from microscopic organisms like virus, bacteria etc., to macroscopic organisms like plants, animals and also human beings.

Eligibility: Class II to V (Age: 8 to 11)
Duration: 5 sessions (Each running for 1.5 hrs)
Timings: 02.30 - 04.00 pm
Start Date - May 10th to May 14th (Tentatively) on weekdays
Course Fee: ₹2000



4. YS Public Speaking Course

We have all faced a crowd in front of us at some point in our life and have felt the stage-fright mounting on us. Although we know the content to be delivered very well, we stutter and fall short of words. Well! Here we are to help you with this. Our interactive session on public speaking will help you chase away any butterflies in your stomach.

Eligibility: Age 12 and above
Duration: 5 sessions (1 Hr each)
Timings: 04.30 - 05.30 pm
Start Date - May 10th (Tentatively)
Course Fee: ₹2000





5.YS Astro Physics Course

In this course, we will explore the basics of astrophysics, solve a few problems, and explore some research methods. This is a graded course where we will be providing graded certificates to the participants.

Eligibility: Class VI to X
Duration: 8 Sessions (Each session is 2 hours)
Timings: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Start Date - June' 6th
Course Fee: ₹3500/-




6. Black Hole Math, Online Course
    designed by NASA STEM Engagement Program

Many aspects of black holes can be understood by using simple algebra and pre-algebra skills. This online course has problems to investigate black hole science and mathematics concepts. Each word problem has background information providing insight into black holes and encourages development of research skills.

Every session has a worksheet that will be provided in advance. Sessions last 120 mins and include concept clarification followed by problem solving. This is a graded course

Level One  - 5 sessions

Note: We will start the Level 1 of the course if we get enough participants enrolled for the program.

Eligibility: Class VI & above
Dates: Sundays (Starting May 9th tentatively)
Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Duration: 5 sessions, 10 hrs, 5 weeks
Course fee: ₹2000




7. YS Space Mission Program (Age 11 & above)

The "Space Missions" course is for children who are interested in space exploration. This course will cover some important space missions from history and also discuss established engineering and emerging technologies for future exploration of the solar system.

Eligibility: ClassVI & above
Age: 11+ yrs
Duration: 4 sessions, 8 hrs, 4 weeks
Starts: May 16th (Tentatively)
Days: Sundays
Time:  3:00 to 5:00 PM IST
Course fee:  ₹1800




Note:

Once sufficient registrations are received for each course/workshop, we will provide information on the payment process for it.

The schedule is tentative and depends on the majority preference of the registrants.

Classes will happen online using Zoom and Google Classrooms are used for the graded courses. Participants will have an opportunity to interact with the facilitator during the class.

Please provide your correct phone number that you will be using for whatsapp. All our communication will be made through whatsapp in a temporary group that we will create post the registrations.
