On Saturday, April 10 at 1pm (ET) the Religion & Education Collaborative is hosting a special virtual social hour to complement the other religion and education sessions at the AERA Virtual Annual Meeting. Unlike typical conference social hours, which are limited to registered attendees, this event will be open to the wider religion and education community. This is a unique opportunity to connect with scholars and educators across academic spaces and disciplines, including those working in educational research, religious studies, K-12 schools, and non-profit groups.
This event will be hosted using Topia, a new video chat and collaboration platform. We will send additional details about how to participate the week before the event.
The event is open to members of the Religion & Education Collaborative, the AERA Religion & Education Special Interest Group, the AAR Religion & Public Schools: International Perspectives Unit, the REA Religion and Schools Working Group, and all others working at the intersections of religion and education. There is no cost to attend. If you have questions about this event, please contact Kate Soules (
