2022 Eastern Fall Sectional Young Athletes Festival
Dear Young Athlete and Family:

On Sunday, October 2nd, Special Olympics Pennsylvania will be hosting its Eastern Fall Sectional, taking place at the DeSales University (2755 Station Ave, Center Valley, PA, 18034). Athletes will complete in bocce, flag football, long distance running/walking, powerlifting, soccer and volleyball.

In addition to providing year round sports opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics Pennsylvania also offers a program called Young Athletes. Young Athletes is an inclusive program for children ages 2-7 both with and without intellectual disabilities designed to strengthen motor and social skills at an early age. Prior to the start of Eastern Fall Sectional, there will be a Young Athletes Festival taking place at DeSales from 9:00-10:00 AM. More specific details will be provided the week of the event.

This festival will feature the opportunity to participate in various sports and non-sports activities. Following the festival, all Young Athletes and their families are welcome to stick around to check out Olympic Village and competition taking place at the Eastern Fall Sectional. All participants and their families/friends will also be provided a hoagie for lunch courtesy of one of Special Olympics Pennsylvania's corporate partners. Participants and their families/friends may also bring their own lunches if they wish.

Throughout the event, parents/guardians are required to stay with their child(ren) at all times.

If you have any other friends and family between the age of 2-7, please share this with them and their parents/guardians too!

In addition to filling out the Young Athletes registration and release form, upon arrival, each participant must have their parent/guardian fill out a COVID waiver as well.

I hope to see you there!
