General Information:

The purpose of this scholarship is to help a graduating student who has also graduated from Colona Grade School to further their education beyond High School. The Colona Grade School Parent Teacher Association and its members provide the scholarship.

The scholarship will be a one-time award to the boy or girl selected. The scholarship will have one winner of $500.00 and one winner of $250.00.

The recipients will be determined each year by a special selection committee appointed by the President of the Association. The selection committee uses a number system to identify the applicants during the selection process. Names are not revealed until after the winning application has been chosen. Applications will be handled through high school counseling departments.

Requirements and selection criteria:
o The application must have attended 4 years and graduated from Colona Grade School.
o The applicant must be in the upper 50% of their graduating class.
o The applicant must plan to study at some college, business school, trade school, junior college or similar
institution after high school.
o The school attended must be an accredited school and approved by the Association.
o Financial need of the application may be considered.
o The applicant must fill out the application
o The top two applicants may be asked to participate in an interview by the selection committee.
