WE NEED YOU! Join the Grafton Jacaranda Festival Purple Army and make a difference to the largest annual event in the Clarence Valley.

Volunteers are required for all events during JACARANDA SEASON which includes Illuminate in See Park and the Grafton Jacaranda Festival from Thursday 20 October to Sunday 6 November 2022. Anyone from the age of 15 are welcome to apply. You can choose volunteer opportunities below for event set up, retail, tour guides and working at the events.

Please also encourage your family and friends to also get involved and complete this form to volunteer. 

Committed Volunteers across numerous days will receive a PURPLE ARMY t-shirt and your size is requested below.

EVENT PACK UP & SET UP VOLUNTEERS
It is vital to the success of the Festival that volunteers are available to help with the set up and pack up of events. Many hands make these tasks take no time at all. It is a great experience to work behind the scenes and be part of it all.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Join in the fun of the Festival and volunteer at events. Jobs range from seating guests, helping the production team, emptying bins, throne attending, providing tourist information, promoting surveys to be completed, working in the pop up retail shop, resetting chairs, table waiting, picking up rubbish, judging acts, road marshalling, but most of all having a ton of fun with the PURPLE ARMY.  

Encourage a few friends to come on board with you to volunteer as well. Select what events you can help at below and our team will be in contact to work with you to allocate tasks at each event.

JACA HQ RETAIL VOLUNTEERS
JACA HQ is the Jacaranda Retail Store and Tourist Information Centre that will operate from Shop L1-3 The Link - Grafton Shopping World, Prince St Grafton from 9am to 5pm, 7 days per week from Sunday 9 October to Saturday November.

JACA HQ operates by being staffed by volunteers and it is an amazing experience to meet visitors to Grafton during Jacaranda Season.  It is also an excellent way to gain experience in retail. We welcome anyone from age 15 to apply to volunteer.

JACA HQ will be open every day from Sunday 9 October to Saturday 12 October from 9am to 5pm.

JACARANDA TOUR GUIDES
1000's of visitors flock to Grafton for the JACARANDA FESTIVAL and we want to offer them tour options to experience our beautiful city and the 1700+ Jacaranda Trees.  We require very jolly and confident volunteers to be bus tour guides and walking guides. Tour scripts will be provided and you can ad lib and embellish all you like.

A Jacaranda Hop on - Hop off bus and Walking Tours will operate every hour from 9am to 4am, Saturday 29 October to Saturday 5 November. There will also be a 1/2 and full day Garden Tour on Monday 31 October, Wednesday 2 November and Friday 5 November.

The Jacaranda Bus Booth at the Market Square Bus Stop will also require volunteers everyday from Saturday 29 October to Saturday 5 November.

Being part of the Jacaranda Tour Crew is a fantastic amount of fun, experiencing all the visitors jaw dropping reaction when they see the avenues of Jacarandas for the first time.


The JACARANDA BUS BOOTH at the Market Square Bus Stop will also require volunteers everyday from Saturday 29 October to Saturday 5 November from 8.30am to 4.30pm. This will involve selling tickets for bus and walking tours and collecting gold coin donations for the Hop on - Hop off bus tours that operate on the hour.

A JACARANDA HOP ON - HOP OFF TOUR BUS will operate from 9am to 4pm every hour from Market Square, Saturday 29 October to Saturday 5 November.

JACARANDA GARDEN TOURS (1/2 and full day) will operate from 9 am on Monday 31 October, Wednesday 2 November and Friday 5 November.

Please advise what dates and 1/2 day or full day Jacaranda Garden Tours you could volunteer as a GUIDE for:
JACARANDA WALKING TOURS will operate daily from 9.00am from Market Square, Saturday 29 October to Saturday 5 November. Tours take approximately 1 hour.
