NSSP Sign-Up
In classes of the same topic that run different weeks, materiel will be repeated. They are not continuations of previous classes. Each student may attend as many or as few weeks as they wish, with as many classes per week as they would like!
All of our classes are taught and run by high school students (rising juniors and seniors) who are looking to share knowledge with younger students. Middle school students are encouraged to reach out to their teachers about any high school questions they have as well!
Classes run at the times that are indicated. There will be breaks during the sessions so that students can rest their eyes and take a break from zoom. Each class is run by different students and will be structured in a different way, but all classes focus on project-based learning and creating connections between students. Extra activities are provided for students to expand their learning, but we know students have other activities and obligations and so in-class learning will not require any work outside of our meetings.

NSSP is a program run entirely through the Newton South Science team, and does not receive any funding from the school. As such, we have a strictly voluntary recommended donation of 10$ (higher donations are accepted and very much appreciated!).

Although there should be nothing dangerous about our zoom science classes, we require the parents of attending students to sign a waiver as a precaution. *
I, the undersigned, voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child, that my child may experience or incur in connection with my child’s zoom attendance at the NSSP summer program. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the NSSP program.
