The first part of this survey is intended to gather community visions on how we they wish to use the land within the American Indian Cultural District to meet community, residential, and local business needs. Land use visions within the AICD can include areas such as ceremonial use spaces, community gardens, parks, cultural centers, schools, or other types of neighborhood-serving businesses.
The second part of the survey is to help us understand how we can use community feedback, knowledge, and contributions to manage, prepare, and adapt to the impacts of climate change. This could be things like adding more traditional plants, climate centers, gardens and more.
Thank you for taking the time to share your vision with us. Your feedback will be used to develop a community-driven strategies report called the Cultural Heritage Housing Economic Sustainability Strategy (CHHESS) Report. The CHHESS Report is a comprehensive community-driven policy planning document that guides the focus and priorities of each cultural district and adopted by the Board of Supervisors (BOS) through a resolution.
