2023 Illinois Green Alliance Auxiliary Board Application
The Auxiliary Board is Illinois Green Alliance's volunteer opportunity for emerging professionals to add strategic value to Illinois Green's mission.

The Illinois Green Alliance Auxiliary Board is seeking talented and motivated volunteers to play an important role in the planning and implementation of programming for current and prospective Auxiliary Board and Illinois Green Alliance members in line with the following goals:
  • Assist Illinois Green Alliance in advancing their mission to bring net zero buildings to all communities
  • Provide opportunities for engagement with Illinois Green Alliance members, partner organizations, and the community
  • Build community and create bonds among young professionals in Illinois Green Alliance
  • Attract new Auxiliary Board members and broaden the organization's reach and involvement
  • Create professional development opportunities
Auxiliary Board-specific roles will be discussed in more detail at the first meeting; please expect to participate in the following ways:
- One-year commitment of being an Auxiliary Board member
- Attend at least 75% of monthly Auxiliary Board meetings (these occur after work hours)
- Assist in the planning of one of the four annual events focused on these key areas  - Community Engagement, Professional Development, Fundraising, and Networking

It is a stated organizational goal to increase the diversity and inclusivity of our organization. The specific inclusion of leaders with diverse ethnic, racial, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds is a target for the Auxiliary Board.
