This CURE Community of Practice is intended to support faculty to design, develop and implement a CURE in a UMass course? Please provide a description of the course in which you would implement a CURE, including course number, title, semester(s) in which it is taught, how many times you have taught it, what semester you would implement the CURE. Include any other information that you believe is pertinent to our understanding of the course as a target for implementation of a CURE.(1000 character max., approx. 200 words max).  *
We do not expect you to begin the course with an idea for a CURE already developed.  Some people, however, have a particular research project that they would like to use as the basis for a CURE.  If you do, please describe it and any thoughts you have about ways to integrate it into a CURE for the course described in the previous question.
In order to complete your application, the Chair/Head of your department must submit a letter indicating that you have discussed your CURE idea with them and that they will make every effort to support the implementation of a CURE in the course you describe above.  Any specifics that the Head/Chair can provide regarding how they will support that implementation (scheduling, teaching assignments, etc.) will be helpful.

The letter should be submitted by October 10th, 2022  via email to:
Kristi Mientka
HHMI Project Manager
