Muertos en Westwood: Altar Ofrenda Workshop with Metzli Aragón
Free Workshop! All Ages Workshop. 

Join us to create your own ofrenda(offerings)/altar.  Our ancestors created ofrendas to honor and celebrate their ancestors.  The structure of the ofrenda is created to welcome our beloved ancestors back to us and also so they leave with full arms back to Mictlan.  Learn about the 9 levels of Mictlan and the how the altar honors our ancestors journey to Mictlan or the mexica underworld.   All ages workshop, ages 16 and under please be accompanied by a guardian.

  • Friday, October 20, 2023 from 5pm-7pm
  • Friday, October 27, 2023 from 5pm-7pm

Únase a nosotros para ayudar a crear la principal ofrenda/altar comunitario o Tlamanalli en náhuatl. Nuestros antepasados ​​crearon Tlamanallis para honrar y celebrar a sus seres queridos fallecidos. La estructura de la ofrenda está creada para darle la bienvenida a nuestros queridos ancestros y también para que partan con los brazos llenos de regreso al Mictlán. Conozca los 9 niveles del Mictlán y cómo el altar honra el viaje de nuestros ancestros al Mictlán o el inframundo mexica.
