Young Women Who Crush (YWWC) is a program created by Discover Outdoors Foundation and The Cliffs. We pair high school students with experienced rock climbers for a yearlong leadership development program that develops physical and mental well-being.

YWWC will meet once a month from 4:30-7pm at The Cliffs at LIC. Barring extenuating circumstances, participants are expected to attend every session. If a participant misses a session, they can make it up on an individual basis. The year will culminate with a series of outdoor climbing trips where the girls will be able to test their year of hard work outside on real rock.

This program is open to NYC public high school girls and gender non-conforming youth. Young Women Who Crush is a free program. Successful graduates of YWWC are eligible to become junior mentors for future participants.
