During the first evening of the Kentucky United Nations Assembly, students have the opportunity to educate the rest of the conference on something that is unique to the country they are representing or that reflects the culture of that country in a meaningful way.
Each country may have one performance for a max of 3 minutes.
Delegations at KUNA who choose to do so should take care to ensure participating students understand that their performances are both a teaching tool and a resource for collaborative learning. Because this is the primary goal, it is particularly important that participants do research about their chosen performance piece and have gone to great lengths to understand respectful and accurate representations.
All performances should aim to inform and educate, bringing to light relevant cultural themes, resources, and/or current/historical issues of the nation. International Stage is no longer on a first-come, first-served basis. Please take your time with your application.
As your considering your International Stage act, please consider the following:
- We have 2 wireless microphones and 2 microphone stands
- The stage is 36' x 8' x 18''
- We do not have amps to plug instruments into
- Any props or stage decorations students must set up and tear down themselves in no more than 2 minutes.
