Thanks so much for your interest in taking a private food tour with me (Aashim)! I would love to provide a memorable, customized experience for your group. Please start by reading some important details below, and then answer the questions in the form. I aim to respond to all form requests within 2 business days, after which we can communicate and finalize any remaining details over email.
What is a private food tour?
A private food tour is one where the only participants are members of your group, and myself. Together, we embark on a curated itinerary in the GTA, visiting anywhere from 3 to 8 carefully selected spots to sample food and drink. Tours can last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, it's up to you! I will share lots of information about the neighbourhood(s) and businesses we visit, as well as the cuisines and specific dishes we eat. You will be fully immersed in each dish - of course its taste but also its smells, sights, stories and significance. I might know some of the staff at the spots we check out, and you could hear from them as well!
How much do tours cost?
See below for minimum prices depending on group size. Prices can go up from here depending on factors such as the price-point of the types of places you would like to visit, add-ons like cakes or cocktails, and further customization. I will quote you a single price per person once I receive your request form, which includes everything except the cost of your transportation to and from the tour. That means no gratuity, no additional fees, nothing sneaky.
3 people or less - $400 total minimum + HST
4 to 6 people - $100 pp min + HST
7 to 9 people - $90 pp min + HST
10 or more - $80 pp min + HST
Payment is made for the group all-together, via e-transfer. In the case you want each person to pay individually or are unable to pay via e-transfer, I am happy to set up a private Eventbrite page to facilitate payment. Add ~5% to the above prices for Eventbrite fees. Lastly, if you are setting up this tour as part of an organization, I am happy to sign an agreement and invoice the organization for payment via e-transfer, direct deposit or cheque.
When can tours be scheduled for?
Tours can be requested for any time! I will confirm my availability upon receipt of your tour request.
How do I confirm a tour?
Tours are only considered confirmed upon timely receipt of a deposit, equal to 50% of the full tour cost. The tour will only proceed if the remaining 50% is paid at least 72 hours before the tour start time. You are welcome to pay 100% of the tour value upfront as a deposit to simplify the process, but this is not mandatory.
If you are setting up this tour as part of an organization, a signed agreement can serve as confirmation.
Can I cancel a booked tour?
Yes, you can cancel and receive a full refund if you do so at least 72 hours out from the start of the tour via email. Under 72 hours, cancellation means your payment will be held as credit for a future tour and you will not receive a refund.
