Welcome to Muncie Ballet,

Classes at Muncie Ballet run September to May for the pre-pointe and pointe programs. Our recreational dancers have the option of joining for the first and second semester. 

Most classes are all inclusive in pricing - Your dancer will receive a weekly class, a show costume, a pair of performance tights, a t shirt, and you will receive 3 tickets to our show. We have a fundraising program you can use to offset a portion of your tuition.  Tuition assistance is available
Tuition can be paid in one, two or three installments. The first  instillment will be due the first month of class. 

For the recreational dancer:  
Fall Term is September to December - The Children's Nutcracker
Spring Term is February to May - Alice in Wonderland 

The pre-company and company classes meet August to May.

Ages listed in the class sections reflect the youngest age suggested. Children who are older than the min. age are welcome to attend, which is perfect for many students. However, children younger than the min. age should attend an age-appropriate class.

There is a registration fee of $15 per family, per year. You may add an additional class each week for a small monthly fee.

Adult Ballet 
Adult Ballet 9 Week Session $90   Dancers who would like to participate in the  production will have a costume fee of $65.

Come enjoy the beauty and grace of classical ballet! This class will cover basic ballet positions, steps and vocabulary with a focus on the student's awareness of proper posture and body alignment. Standing barre work and center floor exercises will be given to enhance coordination, strength, balance and flexibility. Participants will also develop a sense of musical awareness and movement quality. No prior ballet experience necessary. Adult dancers are invited to perform in studio productions in supporting roles. This is a children's studio first.  Please have for performances a nude leotard, and black leggings, Men wear black jammer style snug shorts or leggings with a white top, black ballet shoes
Age 3-4 Ballet Beginnings
Tuition $250 per 4 month term and includes class tuition, performance costume and show tights, show t shirt and 3 tickets for our big show.  We have a fundraising program you can use to offset a portion of tuition.  Tuition assistance is available Tuition can be paid in one, two or three installments. Dancers recognize rhythm, patterns, movement, and make-believe. This class introduces young children to music, movement, and dance while fostering imagination and creativity. Children are encouraged to explore movement and dance in fun ways while they learn the basics of ballet. This class also gives children an understanding of the classroom community, improves their social skills, and develops their fine motor skills all while they have fun!   

Dancers wear pink, lavender or blue skirted leotards. pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes. Boys wear black jammer style shorts/leggings, white t-shirt and black shoes.
Jr Ballet with Tap  5 and up
Tuition $285 per 4 month term and includes class tuition, performance costume and show tights, show t shirt and 3 tickets for our big show.  We have a fundraising program you can use to offset a portion of tuition.  Tuition assistance is available Tuition can be paid in one, two or three installments. This class introduces ballet basics and ballet terminology. Dancers wear pink, lavender or blue skirted leotards. pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes. Black tap shoes. Boys wear black jammer style shorts/leggings, white t-shirt and black shoes.
Ballet Academy min. Age 7
Tuition $325 per 4 month term and includes class tuition, performance costume and show tights, show t shirt and 3 tickets for our big show.  We have a fundraising program you can use to offset a portion of tuition.  Tuition assistance is available Tuition can be paid in one, two or three installments. The first will be due the first month of class

This class is designed to build a technical base and understanding of ballet technique and vocabulary  Each class has a session of tap. Dancers wear pink, lavender or blue skirted leotards. pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.. Boys wear black jammer style shorts/leggings, white t-shirt & Black shoes.
Ballet Academy II  Tues - Thursday

Dancers attend Tuesday and Thursday in addition to a Saturday 12-2:00 pm class 8 weeks before performance Tuition assistance is available. 
Required shoes: pink split-sole slippers, pink tights, and black leotard. Dancers may wear a color of choice leotard for rehearsals and Saturday conditioning. Please have for performances a nude leotard, and black leggings, (ribbons for ballet slippers will be added at the studio) Boys wear black jammer style snug shorts or leggings with a white top, black ballet shoes

Pointe Levels , Variations 
Pointe I dancers must complete Demi Pointe class or have a consultation prior to attending class.

Pointe I  dancers attend class on Tuesday  & Thursday with a Saturday 12-2 class 6 weeks before a performance. Girls wear black leotards, pink ballet shoes, and pink or mocha tights. shoes: pink or mocha split sole and pointe shoes to match skin tone. Please have for performances nude leotards, and black leggings, Do not purchase pointes without teacher consultation. Boys wear black jammer style snug shorts or leggings with a white top, black ballet shoes
