Community House Collaborator Application

The Vivid Black Paint Community House

Vivid Black Paint has been restricted in what we can offer time and time again due to limitations of available and appropriate program spaces in the metro. In offering our pilot Resident Program we have found that we actually built viable program space and now we plan to make the best use of it.

Each Vivid Black Paint hosted activity and service to the general public is to be fee based. People who participate will be directly supporting opportunities for young, female, BIPOC creatives!

Community House Collaborators Program

We are also seeking the opportunity to work with groups or individuals who would utilize the space on a weekly or monthly basis. As a Community House Collaborator, you would enjoy a flat monthly fee, flexible access to the home, access to workspace in the home, and about two tubs of storage space for supplies.

This program is limited to 3 to 4 individuals or groups at a time in order to ensure collaborators get the best access for hours and spaces.

If you are member of the Young Creators Club, you can opt to pay by the hour, either the hourly room rate or donate 15% of your income from using space in the house back to Vivid instead of paying a flat monthly fee.

Collaborator Fees

Tier 1: Up to 2 program hours & 2 prep hours per Week - $175/Month

Teir 2: Up to 4 Program hours & 4 prep hours per Week - $275/Month

Teir 3: Up to 6 Program hours & 6 prep hours per Week - $375/Month

+ $5.00/hr utility fee for program & prep time which directly supports residents' utility costs. Utility fees are not charged for solo time in the home that are not directly tied to you prepping for that week's activities. However, 1hr of prep minimum is assumed for each activity you host.

Ex. If you facilitate two 2hr cooking sessions per week, and you need 1hr prior to your session to prep in the house and maybe 1 hour after your session to clean up. That equals 4 program hours and 4 prep hours. You would choose Tier 2, which is $300/month, and pay $40 for that months utility fee.

Ex. If you facilitate four 1.5hr wellness groups each week, and need 30mns prior to your sessions to prep in the house and 30mns after your session to clean up/close up. That equals 6 program hours and 4 prep hours. You would choose Tier 3, which is $400/month, and pay a $50 utility fee for that month.

Potential Collaborator Access

Collaborators can begin to run programming in The Community House starting April 1st 2024

Programming times need to be outside of established Vivid Black Paint programming time.

Otherwise, Collaborators can run their group, project, or program between 6:00am and 8:00pm.

There is an option to run programming outside of those hours by special request and space and type of programming allows.

Disclaimer

Community Collaborators are NOT Residents and are not allowed to sleep in or utilize the house overnight without permission. If you are interested in that, you will need to book the house appropriately OR apply to the Community House Guest or Resident program as space is available.
