Technology and Youth Today Presentation RSVP

Technology, including social media and gaming, is increasingly prevalent in the lives of young people. Parents and educators have concerns about the balance between the benefits and drawbacks of technology and social media, which makes it a tough road to navigate with youth.

 In this training, the learner will understand what is happening in teen brains juxtaposed against the effects of social media on mental, and oftentimes physical, health. 

Located at: Revolution Community Church (no church affiliation), Monday, March 13, 2023 6pm-7:30pm

Objectives:

  • Identify what is happening in teen brains
  • identify different social media platforms
  • learn about social media and its effects on mental health
  • learn about online dangers
  • learn tips for talking to youth/families about technology time
