Instructor Survey - Cache Learning Center
Cache Learning Center Youth provides classes to homeschool youth ages 6-18. The are held at the Ballet Aligned Studios in Logan (1115 N 200 E Suite 320). During the traditional school year, classes for 6-11yo are targeted to primarily be held on Wednesdays; 12+yo's specific day(s) is Tuesdays. This is not a co-op. It is a central location for independent instruction.

Instructor compensation at the CLC begins at $30/hour and increases based on teaching and professional experience and/or class enrollment.

Classes and projects at Cache Learning Center will be selected based upon current interest, space, and time availability. Completing this form enables us to determine interest and put a tentative schedule together.  Any information that you include on THIS form can be changed in the future. If your class is added to our class offerings and you approve the time slot we give you, then we will collect further information and solidify/verify information already submitted.

Beyond managing class content and pacing in class, instructors (or their delegated parent/student) volunteers need to:
  • submit to a background check.
  • complete the process to be an approved 3rd party provider for the online charter schools, My Tech High and Harmony (see below).
  • ensure the classroom space is left clean, orderly, and ready for the next class

Becoming a 3rd Party Provider - completed background check required
Utah has a number of public, online charter schools that provide enrolled students with cash in hand to take extra-curricular classes with school funds. You MAY teach without submitting or being approved by one of these schools. The advantage of approval is it will likely increase student enrollment, as families will be refunded by the school for approved classes. As such, the CLC gives deference to classes that are approved to receive this funding.  By appearing on our website, classes are automatically eligible for reimbursement from My Tech High. The CLC is hoping to be approved as a 3rd party provider all together by Harmony Education. Regardless of whether or not you are approved as an individual or we are approved as an organization, you will need a background check to teach. The easiest way to finish this process is to visit our Cache County police department at 1225 West 200 North, Logan. Further details are below:
  • Fee is $20.00 plus tax, payable in cash, personal check, VISA or MasterCard, money order, or cashier’s check. You must turn in your background check to the CLC to submit on our approval application. You will be refunded the background check charge once we have you approved to teach as a 3rd party provider and your class meets minimum enrollment.
  • A valid form of government issued picture ID must accompany the request. Utah Driving Privilege Cards will NOT be accepted as valid ID.
  • Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and state holidays.
What is the estimated cost/semester/student to for additional supplies/materials/curricula? *
Please give a break-out of materials, etc. The cost of the class may or may not have these costs rolled in to tuition. (Remember that students/parents may be able/willing to provide common materials from home where feasible.)
What is the MAXIMUM number of students you are willing to include in this class? A number for both minimum (set by the CLC) and maximum students in your class must be entered into the class information on the website. Classrooms are assigned according to space needs - we may not be able to accommodate, but we will do our best. *
As of 2023-24, the CLC will provide insurance. IF you would like additional instuctor insurance, below is a resource. (Please tell them you were referred by Quentin Casperson. He is the business manager for Ballet Aligned and you will land in the right hands, getting the right product.)
