ADI Application — Spring 2022
The Yale New Haven Urban Debate League runs an Advanced Debate Institute for students looking for extra enrichment. The program meets once a week for ten weeks in the Spring of 2022. The program fee is $500 for the semester, but generous financial aid will be extremely available. New Haven Public School students are especially encouraged to apply, though we accept applications from any high school parliamentary debater.

Debaters will practice advanced debate skills, discuss current events, and receive extensive feedback on their public speaking. A typical session may include a mini-lesson on a debate concept, drills, games and practice rounds. This semester, the program will be online via Zoom. Debaters from the New Haven area may have select opportunities to visit the Yale campus (outside of the regular time for ADI), depending on Yale's COVID regulations.

The program will be held on Fridays from 6-8 pm Eastern on the following dates:
2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 4/1, 4/8, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13

The program is selective. We look for enthusiastic debaters at an advanced level.

Please reach out to andrea.chow@yale.edu with questions. Andrea will be the primary coach this semester.
