Here is me, trying to figure out how to manage my newsletter in a way that feels sustainable both mentally and financially.

If you haven’t read my newsletter (and if you haven’t, how did you find this link?) I would love to know how to handle the part of my newsletter that talks about a book of mine.

How should I handle the vague way this newsletter is monetized? (Check any you’d be interested in.) *

Keep doing the thing you have always been doing. I’m sure your brain will be fine.

Stop talking about your books if you don’t feel like it.

Use a generic-ish statement to encourage people to check out your books or something.

Include some kind of a tip jar as a different form of monetization.

Include a “Reader React” portion and allow other people to say what they want about your books.

About reader reactions

One option for this section is to ask for people to provide reader reactions—not reviews, just a thing they thought about a book of mine at some point. These would be included, at the person’s choice, either anonymously, or with the person’s bio/website/whatever included.
