General
● We give the Student a licence to use the Laptop supplied to the Parent/Guardian by the School for the purposes of the Student’s studies at the School pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.
● This licence shall begin at the time the Laptop is supplied to the Student, and will terminate when the laptop is returned to the School on or before 9 December 2022.
●This Agreement may be renewed for a further period on terms to be agreed between you and the School.
● In the absence of specific agreement as to the terms that will apply, the terms of this Agreement will continue to apply with the changes that are necessary or implied.
● A bond of $200 is to be paid. This will be charged in equal installments at the beginning of each school term during 2022.
● The bond will be refunded if the laptop and charger are returned with no significant damage.

Control and Ownership of the Laptop
● The Student's access to the Laptop is a licence to use the Laptop but is not an exclusive right.
● We, at all times, reserve the right to recall the Laptop for any reason (including upgrading software, inspecting it to check its operational performance and software, and ensuring that the Laptop is being used only for its proper use).
● Ownership and control of the Laptop will always remain with the School, even though the Student has possession of the Laptop at the School or elsewhere pursuant to this agreement.
● Nothing in this agreement, nor the delivery of the Laptop by us, constitutes a transfer of ownership of the Laptop to the Student or you, or an agreement to transfer ownership, or imposes an obligation for, or confers a right to, transfer of ownership of the Laptop.

Obligations of You and the Student
The software loaded on the Laptop is licensed to the School. You must ensure that the software is not copied, deleted or transferred, for any reason at all, without our prior written consent.
You must ensure that:
1) Only software authorised by the School is stored or otherwise loaded on to the Laptop. No illegal, illicit or unacceptable content is stored or otherwise loaded on to the Laptop. If you require additional software to be loaded on the Laptop you must request this through Mrs Reid.
2) The Laptop is only used for the educational purposes of the Student and in accordance with the School’s policies.
3) We strongly suggest that you purchase a Laptop case/sleeve to protect the Laptop and that the Laptop is kept in a safe place at all times.
4) No stickers or other material are to be attached to any part of the Laptop and the Laptop should be kept clean using a soft cloth and appropriate computer screen cleaner.
5) The Laptop should be kept in possession of the Student and not loaned to anyone.
6) No food or liquid should be consumed near the Laptop.
7) The Laptop should be shut down and restarted at School at least once a week to ensure that it is kept updated.
8) The hardware case of the Laptop shall not be opened, and no additional hardware (including a video card, sound card, network card, memory, modem or disk drive) is installed in the Laptop, without our written consent.

Laptop Issues
1) You must immediately report to Mrs Reid, via email, if the Laptop is lost, stolen or damaged.
2) You should return the Laptop immediately to the Systems Administrator if either the hardware or software is faulty.
3) In the event of software problems, we will arrange a repair or complete reload of the School software at no cost to you.
