4-H Cloverbud Camp Overview
Join us this year as we make memories at Cloverbud Camp! Cloverbud Camp is a weekend to introduce our youngest 4-H members to the overnight camping experience. Cloverbud Camp is for youth turning 5 - 8 before September 30, 2024.  (Youth who turn 9 before September 30th are asked to register for Junior 4-H Camp.) Youth ages 14-19 serve as teen leaders and play an important role working with your camper.  Adult volunteers and staff members lead programs and provide additional supervision.  Parents wishing to volunteer should contact their respective 4-H Agent. All adults must complete volunteer training March 2-3, be enrolled in 4-H Online, and have a clear background check prior to coming to camp.

Cloverbud campers do many of the same activities as campers at Junior Camp (but not all). The main differences are that classes are shorter, there is more transition time, and campers have time to rest in the afternoon.  They enjoy the same recreational opportunities and evening programs as older youth.

Parents/guardians will be given a specific window in which to drop off and pick up campers from the 4-H Center.
Cost of Camp
Price: $130

You will need to submit payment to the Albemarle/Charlottesville Extension Office. Make checks payable to "Treasurer of Virginia Tech" with "Cloverbud Camp and your child's name" in the memo line. Virginia Tech charges a $50 fee for checks returned for insufficient funds.

Within a 1:5 ratio, there is no cost for trained teen and adult volunteers.  All teens and adults attending camp must complete required training.  No exceptions.  Teen and Adult Leader Training (TALT) is an overnight training offered by Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center on March  2-3. Training will begin on Saturday at 9am.  Cost is $40, lodging available March 1 for an extra $10.
