Financial Aid Appointment Request

Thank you for contacting the Financial Aid Office.

If you are looking for financial aid information or to work with one of our Advisors, please review the following information.

To check the status of your financial aid, your verification tasks, SAP standing and award information, all are located within your myOakton account on your financial aid dashboard.

Log in to your myOakton account, under Banner Services select Student Services, and select Financial Aid. Your financial aid dashboard lists the status of your requirements still needed to review your eligibility for State and Federal funding.

Verification tasks can be completed within Verify FAFSA. 

  1. Log onto your myOakton account
  2. Select Financial Aid & College Resources on the dropdown menu
  3. Select Financial Aid Information +
  4. Select Verify FAFSA and verify your information to get logged in (Your name, social security number, and date of birth must match what was entered on your FAFSA. If you previously created an account, you will be taken directly to your task list.)
  5. Complete all verification tasks and submit
FAFSA Completion Assistance
The Financial Aid Office will be hosting representatives from the ISACorps at the end of January through February for assistance with completing the FAFSA application.  

For assistance at the Des Plaines Campus- Office hours will be held in Suite 1740 (overflow will be in room 1831) on Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 
January 30, February 6, 13, 20, and 27

For assistance at the Skokie Campus- Office hours will be held in the Enrollment Center, A100 RHC from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
February 1, 15, and 29 

For all other situations, please email financialaid@oakton.edu and one of our advisors will reach out to you to schedule an in person, phone or video (Google Meet) appointment to speak with you. 

Typically response times to request are 1-3 business days during non-peak times and up to 5-7 business days during peak times. Your patience is appreciated. Please avoid sending multiple emails as this adds additional delays to response times.
