Public health social work is an evidence-based, integrated approach to preventing, addressing, and solving today’s contemporary social health issues. Drawing on theories from both fields, the joint effort works across systems to reduce risk and promote resilience for individual, group, community, and population wellbeing. But what does this mean in practice? Alumni of the BU MSW/MPH program with a variety of skills and experiences join us to describe what Public Health Social Work looks like in action, what it means to be a Public Health Social Worker, and what they envision for the future of the field.
This in-person event will take place Thursday, April 25th, at 5:30 pm in the BU School of Social Work at 264 Bay State Rd, Conant Lounge, 2nd floor. We will hear from the panelists, and afterwards, there will be an opportunity for networking and connecting with the panelists and other attendees. Please RSVP below!
