S.T.E.P.S. Community Audit
S.T.E.P.S. promotes a community driven supportive approach to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding suicide and mental health. Based in Draperstown, volunteers from the local area have worked to offer a range of educational, recreational and therapeutic supports in the Mid Ulster area and beyond. We would like to understand what difference the work of the project has made to preventing suicide and promoting positive mental health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but they can make us feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. S.T.E.P.S. wish to support our community with the direct and indirect impact of Covid 19 and make a positive change for people suffering with mental health. S.T.E.P.S. wish to help our community face the increased demand in our services as a direct result of measures to prevent the spread of Covid 19. We also wish to help our community to build on what we have learned and share this with our community.

This survey will help us to understand:
What works well about what S.T.E.P.S. are already doing for our community?
How can we improve what we are already doing for our community?
How can we partner with other groups and agencies to help our community?
