If you're interested, or think you might be interested in joining this production, please fill in this form even if you can't make any of the August rehearsal dates - it helps us hugely to gauge numbers of potential participants.
Subsequent rehearsals take place on Sunday afternoons from 4 September, plus one or two weekday evenings later on. Performances on 10, 20 and 25 November and 6 December. We will send out a further registration form with dates in early September.
There is a £140 fee for
all chorus members in the production (made up of £50 subscription, £70 show fee
and £20 score purchase) but members don’t need to pay this till September, and you’re
welcome just to come along and try a rehearsal for free. The overall budget for
the production is around £60,000 and is met by ticket sales, donations, grants,
front of house sales and chorus fees. We're a charity, with an amateur (volunteer) administration and have managed to keep live opera going in this part of Sussex since 1979!
We never want to discourage anyone
from taking part because of the costs, and always say that if paying the fee causes
problems we can postpone it, reduce it or even waive it completely. Just let us know.
We have created audio files to help chorus members rehearse their parts.
Thank you for filling this in. Any questions, do ask! Email Tim Locke, the chorus manager at
