With over 10,000 film festivals in the world today, emerging filmmakers often don’t even know where to begin to submit their films. Join me for a conversation on Strategy 101: How to Find the Best Festivals for Your Film, where we'll discuss the different types of festivals, why it’s important to create a diverse strategy, how to avoid scams, cons, and fake awards, and how to create the best possible festival experience for you and your film.

The Orientation is available as a recording that you can watch at your convenience.

Everyone in the NYFA community is welcome! After attending the Orientation or watching the recording on demand, students and recent alumni of long-term programs can book a personal appointment to discuss festival strategy specifically for them and any film they made as part of a NYFA course.
