By filling out this registration form, you are helping the TAK team to plan and prepare for our planting day, please let us know if your plans change. The back up date in case of bad weather is the 3rd of October. Please keep this date available as well.
TE ARA KAKARIKI VOLUNTEER PLANTOUT EVENTS WILL GO AHEAD AT COVID ALERT LEVEL 2. Details of changes and added precautions can be found at the bottom of our Volunteer page
https://www.kakariki.org.nz/how-to-help/volunteer/Transport: buses will run at Covid Alert Level 2 on half capacity to allow social distancing. Directions will be sent via email for those who opt to drive.
Te Ara Kākāriki will provide morning and afternoon tea, lunch, hot drinks, water to fill drink bottles, a portaloo and handwashing facilities. We provide spades and clean gloves but you are welcome to bring your own gloves. (no hot drinks will be provided at Level 2 as the flask is shared)
All ages are welcome, and children are the responsibility of their parent / guardian. Sites are flat but can be quite muddy. GUMBOOTS or a second pair of sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.
