A small number of Chromebooks are available for students to borrow during the school day if a device is forgotten or something happens to a student’s device. These are available for check out in IT office and are expected to be returned at the end of the school day.
On occasion, it may be necessary for a student to extend this beyond one school day (e.g. a student’s device must be sent away for repair). For any school-owned device that leaves the school, the following must be read through and agreed to by a parent or guardian, prior to a device leaving campus. Submitting this completed form with your name and date acts as your signature.
A device may be checked out only when another device is not available to a student. The device is to be used for school purposes only.
The Acceptable Use Policy for the appropriate division covers any school-owned device on and off campus. You may re-familiarize yourself with the policy here:

In addition, the device itself is expected to be treated with care. If any repairs are necessary, or if the device and/or accompanying charger must be replaced, as a result of inappropriate use or damage sustained while the device is checked out to the student, the family will be responsible for covering the cost.
The maximum length of time for a student to borrow a device is seven days. Should it be necessary for the student to use the device for longer than that, please communicate directly with the division office.
