The Hamtramck Virtual Learning Institute (VLI) has opened up enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year for current and new students.

We are so excited to offer this program to our students, Hamtramck VLI will have a new look that offers students a unique virtual learning experience, with both synchronous (live lessons) and asynchronous (self-driven) learning experiences giving students more control over their education. Students will be taught by highly qualified Hamtramck and online teachers. Technology will play a significant role in facilitating student success. VLI is great for students who are self motivated and looking for a different learning environment. 

VLI Students are still attached to their building, allowing them to participate in all activities that in-person students enjoy. (EX: athletics, clubs school dances and other activities offered.)

All students will be expected to remain in consistent communication with their teachers.

All students will be expected to attend live lessons held by Hamtramck teachers.

All students will follow the Hamtramck Public Schools calendar.

Please expect to attend a VLI orientation before the start of next school year to finalize enrollment. Orientation must be attended before student can start working in the fall. During the orientation, VLI teachers will explain expectations and how online learning works. Time and location of orientation will be sent out at a later date. This orientation is required for all current and new VLI students.

If you have multiple students looking to enroll in VLI, please fill out a new form for each individual student.     Please have this form completed by: June 7th 2024.
