Heart in Hand LA (HiHLA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a UCLA chapter.
The UCLA chapter of HiHLA has an opening for the Co-Community Outreach Director position!
As a board member, you will work with other board members to fulfill our goal of providing the homeless, the undocumented, and ethnic minorities with health and social work-related resources, such as food banks, shelters and clinics. You will also assist HiHLA in raising awareness about social and racial injustices and advocating for the importance of community service to eliminate such discriminations. Alongside this goal, our bigger mission is to provide these vulnerable populations with homemade masks, hygiene packages, clean clothes, and food. Since founding this organization in March 2020, we have made over 200 home-made masks and assembled over 200 hygiene kits, which were donated to several clinics and homeless shelters throughout Los Angeles, which include the Venice Family Clinic and the Downtown Women’s Center.

As a co-community outreach director you will:
1. Lead Community Outreach committee biweekly board meetings
2. Reach out to clinics and homeless shelters to see where supplies need to be donated
3. Organizing in-person and virtual fundraisers
4. Recruiting volunteers.
5. Attend bi-weekly board meetings and routinely update presidents/vice presidents
6. This position requires participation at in-person HHiLA events
