Modern India and the World
The Department of East Asian Studies at Tel Aviv University is happy to invite students and faculty to participate in a three-meeting workshop:

Modern India and the World
An Online Workshop by Dr Khinvraj Jangid

11, 18 and 25 January 2022, between 18:00-19:15.

The workshop will survey India’s engagement with the world from its independence until the twenty-first century. Having moved from a poor, Third-World state to an emerging Asian player in international politics, India is now considered a rising global power. We will look into the kind of role India can play at the global level and consider the strengths and challenges of Indian foreign policy. From Jawaharlal Nehru to Narender Modi, we will survey the key actors and the key events and ideas that have shaped Indian foreign policy.

Dr Khinvraj Jangid teaches at Centre for Israel Studies, Jindal School of International Affairs, OP Jindal Global University, Sonepat, India.

The workshop will be held in English, in Zoom.

Reading materials and the link for the zoom meetings will be sent to registered participants one week prior to the event.
