The 34th annual Three Rivers Counseling Association awards luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The Three Rivers Counseling Association is honoring area counselors and asking for assistance in nominations for a Counselor of the Year award.

We have four school counselor awards: Elementary School Counselor of the Year(PK-5th), Middle School Counselor of the Year (6th - 8th), High School Counselor of the Year (9th - 12th)  and Multilevel School Counselor of the Year (PK-12th).  In addition, we will also be awarding one for Professional Private Practice Counselor of the Year and Agency Counselor of the Year. We know there are counselors in the community who go to extraordinary lengths to serve clients, uplift their spirits, assist them in facing reality, overcome adversity and become productive citizens. We have many counselors in area schools that serve our students in extraordinary ways; helping students to excel, overcome obstacles, attend programs or colleges the students thought impossible, and making life more tolerable and enjoyable.

Please take a few moments to nominate a counselor you feel is deserving of public recognition. Indicate their length of service, and highlight some of the feats they have accomplished.

In addition, The Three Rivers Counseling Association is asking for your assistance in nominating a “Friend of Counseling” who supports your Counseling and Guidance program, activities, and endeavors. This nominee can be in the public or private sector.

We have many deserving friends in the community who actively support the efforts and programs of our area public school counselors and our private practice counselors.  These friends may support our efforts through public agencies, political actions, moral and financial measures, or other unique ways.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, January 4, 2023.  Our winning nominations will be sent on to the Texas School Counselors Association for possible recognition at the state level.
