2023 Hemophilia Council of California Future Leader Application

We're back in person in 2023!
Become a Hemophilia Council of California Future Leader!

The 2023 Future Leaders is a three day, in person program in Sacramento. Teens come together from across the State. You meet other youth in the bleeding disorders community, make new friends and have fun! Future  Leaders find inspiration among other teens to be bold. You share your voice where it matters most!

The Hemophilia Council of California’s (HCC’s) Future Leaders Program provides leadership training and develops advocacy skills for teens affected by bleeding disorders. Leading up to Legislative Day, you will find out more about your role in the government process. You will also learn to be an effective advocate for yourself and your family.

Future Leaders will attend a pre-Legislative Day program in person on March 19 and 20. There you will find out how to tell your story to legislators. You will also learn to advocate for yourself and your family in other areas of your life.

Future Leaders take part in leadership building games and activities. Other fun highlights include a visit to the Capitol and team building games! Most importantly, teens learn about the legislative process and how it affects you!

During Legislative Day, Future Leaders take a lead role in legislative meetings! You will tell your story and advocate for important legislation at the State level.
