Opening Prayer:  Loving God, hlep us learn how to forgive.  Loving God, teach us how to ask for forgiveness.  Loving God, we want to follow Jesus--help show us the way.  AMEN
Last week we learned that God created everything, the whole world, in six days!  And God saw that it was good.  On the seventh day he rested.

This is why we have the 3rd Commandment:  Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day.

This reminds us that we need to go to Mass and take time to enjoy God's gifts of Creation and family.

We review again, that when we break a Commandment, that is a mortal sin.  Mortal sin is something that separates us from God and it can be a permanent separation unless we go to Confession.

When we go to Confession and are sorry for our sins and promise to not repeat them, we are forgiven and are together with God again, and not separated from Him.

This week we are combining the November 20 and November 27 Weeklie.  We do not have class on November 27.  You will need both copies.

This week we find out how to ask for forgiveness and learn the ultimate story of forgiveness.  November 20 is actually the last day of the liturgical (calendar) ending of the Catholic year.

This special day is known as "Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.

We see Jesus hanging from the Cross and being made fun of by the people and the two criminals hanging on his left and right.  This doesn't seem like Jesus is a King does it?  We know of kings through stories and they are treated with respect and wear fancy clothes, don't they?

Jesus came to us to serve us.  To show us that we do not need fancy clothes, food, or cars.  He let people make fun of him and forgave them.

He shows us exactly how to behave always---forgive people who do or say wrong things to you.  Help others, especially those who cannot help themselves.  Open your heart and let friendship, peace and love be your daily goal.
Please go to Page 3 of your Weeklie and read the Sunday Gospel:  Jesus is a Forgiving King
