20 VIENNA ART WEEKS - 20 PROJECTS
8. - 15. NOV 2024

Freie Kunsträume und Projekte sind wichtige Programmpartner:innen der VIENNA ART WEEK. Zum 20. Jubiläum laden wir daher “Independent Spaces & Special Projects” in Wien ein, ihre Programmvorschläge zur Teilnahme an der VIENNA ART WEEK 2024 bis spätestens 30. April 2024 einzureichen. Eingereicht werden können Programmvorschläge zum diesjährigen Thema der VIENNA ART WEEK, “Facing Time”. Weitere Informationen zum Thema finden Sie im kuratorischen Text hier.


Für alle Programmpartner:innen ist ein Veranstaltungs-Termin an einem Tag zwischen Samstag, 9. und Freitag, 15.11.2024 vorgesehen.

Die diesjährige Fachjury – bestehend aus Laura Amann (Kuratorin Kunsthalle Wien), Julia Hartmann (Associate Curator VIENNA ART WEEK), Soli Kiani (Künstlerin), Günther Oberhollenzer (Künstlerischer Direktor Künstlerhaus Vereinigung) und Robert Punkenhofer (Künstlerischer Direktor VIENNA ART WEEK) – wählt zum 20. Jubiläum aus allen Einreichungen die inhaltlich und konzeptuell überzeugendsten 20 Programmvorschläge zur Teilnahme an der VIENNA ART WEEK aus.

Alle Bewerber:innen werden bis spätestens Ende Mai informiert, ob sie zur Teilnahme an der VIENNA ART WEEK ausgewählt wurden.

Voraussetzungen zur Teilnahme: 
  • Einreichende müssen zum Zeitpunkt der VIENNA ART WEEK von 8. - 15. November 2024 über einen öffentlich zugänglichen Raum in Wien zur Realisierung des Programmvorschlags verfügen.
  • Die von der Jury zur Teilnahme ausgewählten Programmvorschläge finden im Zeitraum zwischen 9. und 15. November 2024 statt. Die konkreten Veranstaltungstermine fixieren wir gemeinsam NACH der Entscheidung über die Teilnahme.
  • Der Eintritt für die Besucher:innen ist bei allen Veranstaltungen der VIENNA ART WEEK kostenlos.
  • Die eingereichten Projekte sollten einen Bezug zum diesjährigen Motto „Facing time“ haben und dürfen keine kommerziellen Zwecke verfolgen.

20 VIENNA ART WEEKS - 20 PROJECTS
8 - 15 NOV 2024

Independent art spaces and projects are important program partners of the VIENNA ART WEEK. For the 20th anniversary, we are therefore inviting "Independent Spaces & Special Projects" in Vienna to submit their program proposals for participation in VIENNA ART WEEK 2024 until 30 April 2024. Submissions are open for program proposals on the theme of this year's VIENNA ART WEEK, "Facing Time". For further information on the theme, please see the curatorial text here.

Events organized by all program partners are to be held between Saturday, 9 NOV and Friday, 15 NOV 2024.


This year's expert jury – consisting of Laura Amann (Curator Kunsthalle Wien), Julia Hartmann (Associate Curator VIENNA ART WEEK), Soli Kiani (Artist), Günther Oberhollenzer (Artistic Director Künstlerhaus Vereinigung) and Robert Punkenhofer (Artistic Director VIENNA ART WEEK) – will, for the 20th anniversary, select the most convincing 20 program proposals in terms of content and concept for participation in the VIENNA ART WEEK.

All applicants will be informed by the end of May whether they have been selected to participate in the VIENNA ART WEEK.

Requirements for participation

  • Applicants must have a publicly accessible space in Vienna for the realization of the program proposal at the time of the VIENNA ART WEEK from 8 - 15 November 2024.
  • The selected program proposals will take place between November 9 and 15, 2024. We will fix the specific event dates together AFTER the decision on participation has been made.
  • Admission to all VIENNA ART WEEK events is free of charge for visitors.
  • The submitted projects should relate to this year's motto "Facing time" and must not pursue any commercial purposes.

Dateien gewähren Sie dem Art Cluster Verein und der VIENNA ART WEEK national und international die honorarfreien Nutzungsrechte ebendieser zu Publikationszwecken in Print sowie digital (Website, Newsletter, Social Media, etc) im Rahmen der VIENNA ART WEEK. Weiters erlauben Sie uns, die zur Verfügung gestellten Daten ohne Verrechnung durch Dritte im Rahmen der VIENNA ART WEEK zu publizieren. Dieses Nutzungsrecht schließt das Recht mit ein, Bilder mit gängigen Überarbeitungsmethoden (z.B.: Zuschneiden, Unschärfe, Formatanpassungen, Zoom, Pan, Ergänzung von Textelementen, etc.) zu modifizieren sowie das Ergebnis auch in Bewegtbild zu nutzen.

Sie bestätigen hiermit auch, dass Sie (z.B. als Urheber) befugt sind, uns die oben genannten Rechte honorarfrei einzuräumen und uns insofern schad- und klaglos zu halten.

With the transmission or provision of the data or files you grant the Art Cluster Vienna Association for the VIENNA ART WEEK national and international rights of use free of charge for publication purposes in print and digital form (website, newsletter, social media, etc.) Furthermore, you allow us to publish the provided data without charging third parties. This right of use includes the right to use pictures with common processing methods (e.g. cropping, blurring, format adjustments, zoom, pan, addition of text elements, etc.) as well as to use the result also in moving images.

You also hereby confirm that you (e.g. as author) are authorized to grant us the above rights free of charge and to indemnify and hold us indemnified in this respect.
