Disability Resources Testing Assistant Application
Hello! Thank you for your interest in becoming a Testing Assistant for the Office of Disability Resources (either on the River Campus or on the Eastman Campus). This position is open to Graduate Students only.

The Office of Disability Resources offers a variety of services for University of Rochester students, faculty, and staff. One service provided is testing accommodations. The Testing and Note Taking Coordinator and Testing Assistants fulfill this role for professors by providing the testing environment for their students. The Testing and Note Taking Coordinator works with the professor and students to set up the appropriate environment. The Testing Assistants work within that environment to ensure the exam is properly administered.

This position requires the ability to monitor students in a 'supervisory' manner while they complete their exam.  In your opinion, please describe what skills a good Testing Assistant would need in order to supervise students in their care and how you would use those skills if hired.

All students, regardless of their situation, can become stressed and become emotionally distraught when it comes to taking an exam.  Please let us know how you would handle a student who is stressed/overwhelmed and in a state of tears/panic.

A requirement for all proctors is to work Finals Week: Eastman Campus May 3 - 5 & River Campus May 1 - 7. Please let us know your availability for that week.

Our testing services are open Monday through Friday 7am to 10pm and thus shifts are scheduled during this time. Please let us know your availability during a standard week. *
