Thank you for your interest in becoming an Advisor for Pebble Tossers' Teen Leadership Program. We are excited about the Teen Program and the leadership from the Advisors will be a key to their success. This program attracts a dynamic, service-oriented group of young people who have an interest not only in helping their community, but in further developing their leadership skills.
As an Advisor, you will have the opportunity to mentor participants in the Teen Leadership Program. Your participation in various events and activities throughout the year will not only help those in the program, but will serve to develop the next generation of leaders in our community.
Pebble Tossers developed a unique service-learning curriculum infused with components from social-emotional learning, positive psychology, social justice and the principals of positive youth development. Advisors will receive copies of our monthly lessons and be asked for input. Advisors will serve as facilitators for group discussions and provide periodic check-ins with the teens to answer questions or provide guidance. The number of teens per advisor will depend upon final number of advisors, but will generally be 4 to 6 teens per advisor.
The Teen Leadership Program will meet monthly from August 2021 until April 2022 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm and includes participation in a service project. The first meetings are schedule for in-person and we hope to remain that way. Please make sure that you will be able to make the time for these activities as participation is critical to success.
