Initiative Leader (leads volunteers to accomplish initiatives)

Each workgroup leader is expected to...

- Know SSMN’s vision, mission, pillars, and core values.
- Develop a charter and determining the purpose, vision, goals, scope, duties, and metrics of the workgroup.
- Create or support initiatives that achieve SSMN’s mission and goals of workgroup.
- Produce a yearly budget and fundraising for workgroup initiatives; submit budget to BOD Treasurer.
- Submit new initiatives for approval from the board of directors.
- Report monthly to the board of directors on status of current initiatives.
- Submit upcoming events and open volunteer positions to the communication coordinator.
- Organize and lead meetings for workgroup.
- Organize and track workgroup assistants and other volunteers.
- Attend outreach events to recruit volunteers and provide information about workgroup.
- Represent SSMN to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization.
