RECYCLES Workshop: Metagenomics and metabarcoding approaches to describe ecological systems and infer their development
Registration form for the second RECYCLES workshop "Metagenomics and metabarcoding approaches to describe ecological systems and infer their development", organized by Università di Pisa with the collaboration of all the RECYCLES project partners. The workshop sessions will be in hybrid mode, both in person and online through MS Teams. The location of the sessions will be Polo Didattico San Rossore, Pisa, Aula SRD. Online practical on metabarcoding analysis by Dr. Francesco Vitali from the Research Centre for Agriculture and Environment, Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA-AA), Florence, Italy
- Introduction: different possible approaches, tools, and definitions.
- The fundamental elements of microbial ecological analysis: metadata, otu table, taxonomy table. Importance of rich metadata annotation.
- Setting up of working environment.
- Sequence manipulation: pre-treatment.
- Sequence analysis: obtaining otu table and taxonomy table (QIIME2, all R approach eventually).
