AGREEMENT / ACUERDO

I am interested in enrolling my child in the Dual Language Program for the 2024 - 2025 school year.   I understand that this application is ONLY for the Dual Language Program, this does not register my child for school.  

Research indicates that Dual Language programs are most effective when students remain in the program for a sustained period of time.  Students will be expected to remain in the program through 12th grade. The decision to withdraw students from the program should only be made through a team decision. The team should consist of the student's parents, teachers, and district specialists.

STEP 1 - Complete and submit this Dual Language Application for school year 2024 - 2025 by April 5, 2024.  Paper applications are available at West Liberty Community School District Administrative Office 1103 N Elm Street - West Liberty, IA.  An application must be filled out for EVERY INCOMING KINDERGARTEN STUDENT, even siblings of current Dual Language Students.  

STEP 2 - Complete registration documents by August, 2024

Estoy interesado/a en inscribir a mi hijo/a en el Programa de Lenguaje Dual para el año escolar 2024 - 2025.
Esta SOLICITUD,  es solo para el programa de lenguaje dual y no matricula a su hijo en la escuela. La investigaciones pedagógicas indica que los programas de lenguaje dual son más efectivos cuando los estudiantes permanecen en el programa por un período prolongado de tiempo. Se espera que los estudiantes continúe en el programa al menos hasta el 12o grado.  Retirarse del programa solo debe hacerse por medio de una decisión de equipo que involucre a los padres, la escuela y los especialistas del distrito (cuando corresponda) y sea lo mejor para el estudiante.

PASO 1- Complete y entregue esta nueva solicitud ano escolar 2024 a 2025 antes de la fecha límite 5 de abril, 2024.  Solicitudes en papel están disponibles en la oficina del distrito en West Liberty Community School District Administrative Office 1103 N Elm Street - West Liberty, IA. Solo necesita completar una sola solicitud por estudiante.  

PASO 2 - Entregue los documentos requeridos para matricular a su hijo/a en la fecha limite de agosto.
