Community Independent School District is once again excited to announce that our University Interscholastic League (UIL) will hold a District Meet at the elementary level. Our meet is scheduled for February 19, 2021 at Community High School. This year’s meet will include competitions for second through fifth grade.  We will hold tryouts virtual and in person this year unless noted. If the coach has opted for virtual only tryouts a link will be sent to the parents email. If you would like to request a virtual tryout please indicate below.

Students may choose to participate in two  events. The Writing competition is implemented and completed prior to the UIL meet of the designated day. Therefore, your child is welcome to participate in Writing and one other event if they make the tryouts. All children who are interested will be given an opportunity to try out after attending practice sessions for the contest. The four highest scores in each contest for each grade level will be able to compete in the UIL meet on February 19, 2021. One alternate will be  chosen and will attend sessions.

If your child is interested in participating in one of the events, please complete the form below, and return it to the school by October 14, 2020.

If your student is selected they will need to attend (virtual or in person) all practice sessions set by the coach.
