DICE Fellowship Program
Diversity, Inclusion, Cultural Awareness, and Equity

The DICE Fellowship provides competency training for on campus first- and second-
year undergraduate students in diversity, inclusive language, and community building practices.

Learning Outcomes:
 Increase understanding of diversity and inclusive practices and increase cultural competency of
fellows through:
 Knowledge of cultural self-awareness.
 Skills such as empathy, verbal communication, nonverbal communication.
 Curiosity and openness in regards to a willingness to engage in uncomfortable dialogue.
 Active listening.
 Active allyship through engagement with campus events and cross-campus
collaboration on DICE initiatives.

DICE Responsibilities:
 Help students gain language to describe skills.
 Implementation of inclusive practices into campus workplaces.
 Increase prevalence of positive peer-to-peer interaction with diverse identities and
backgrounds.
 Increase student participation in creating workshops and modules for diversity training.
 Network with Trojan Alumni and other participants from across units.

DICE Commitment:
 7 Workshops at 1pm PST: 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30
 DICE Celebration: 11/6 at 1pm PST
 Large Group Events: 3 Per Semester
 Reflection Sessions: 4 Journals
