ICO Conducting Mentorship Application

Apply to work with esteemed ICO conductors on conducting skills and so much more. This program is open to conductors of all skills levels with the goal to improve their effectiveness on the podium. You do not need to be an ICO member to apply but you do need access to ensemble that you can conduct.

If selected, there is no fee to participate but we do ask that all mentees become an ICO member at the individual level ($50/annually) or for their band/orchestra to become a member ($50-$200 annual membership depending budget size) if they aren't already members.

All applicants will receive a notification from the ICO in March 2023.

Option A: In-person interactive coaching with conductor and ensemble or post-rehearsal one-on-one

Option B: 2-3 scheduled zoom sessions in which conducting videos are reviewed and discussed

Option C: Review of conducting video; with feedback and questions happens primarily over e-mail
