Student Enviro Leaders Hui
A secondary school student workshop designed to empower rangatahi in schools to build teams for the purpose of taking action for the environment and community.
Date: 15th February 2020
Time: 10:00am - 3:30pm
Venue: Wellington High School Marae, 249 Taranaki Street, Mt Cook
Lunch and refreshments provided
Cost: $50 per school with a limit of up to three students attending
This interactive and fun workshop is co-facilitated by young people and fosters a safe space for student leaders to practice their facilitation skills.
Students will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded young people, learn how to engage their school community and make an impact. Students will develop self-care techniques to sustain their passion and understand the importance of reflection and celebration.
Each student is requested to register individually as facilitators will follow up with them with which activity they are skilled and comfortable to practice their facilitation in.
Brief outline for the day:
10:00am - 11:00am Whanaungatanga
11:00am - 1:00pm Small Group Break outs where participants select two out of three workshops
1:00 - 1:45pm Lunch
1:45pm - 2:30pm Sustaining self
2:30pm - 3:30pm Reflection, Next steps and Celebration
