The Southwest Edmonton Farmers' Market is run by TRAC, a non-profit community organization that relies on community involvement for it's continued success. Our Market requires 6 committed volunteers each week to ensure the market is run effectively.
Volunteer duties may include; set-up, take-down, counting attendees, traffic control, greeting community members, and supporting the Market Manager in various tasks as they present themselves. If you have physical limitations that we should be aware of, please let us know, we have roles that suit all abilities!
Volunteer shifts are 2.5-3 hours, either 2-5pm or 5-8pm, unless you'd prefer to stay and help for the whole market (3-8pm).
SWEFM open May 15th runs Wednesdays from 3:30-7:30PM until October 9th in the Terwillegar Rec Center Parking Lot!
Volunteer once, Volunteer each week! Totally up to you, but please know that without enough volunteers, the market won't run properly so it's important that you show up to your scheduled shift or let us know with as much notice as possible if you can't make it, or feel free to send someone in your place!
Students - We are happy to provide volunteer confirmation for anyone requiring volunteer hours or references for resumes!
Thank you for getting involved and supporting our goal of building a gathering place for local residents where they can meet neighbors, make friends, and support local business!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Market Manager (Kristin) at swefm.manager@gmail.com
