Beginner Junior's Training
Primary School to High School Aged Athletes; with little to no volleyball experience
Our Beginner Program follows a 'learn-to-play' training format, focused on isolating and training the fundamental skills of volleyball (setting, passing (arms and hands), hitting, blocking and serving). The foal of the program is for players to develop their technique for consistency and the smaller group format allows for more direct one on one coaching to import form - the end goal is for these players to transition their training into a more competitive environment when comfortable (but is not an expectation, the primary goal of training is to improve in a fun environment). Players will participate in activities and drills using modified equipment and rules to ensure kids have fun and develop new skills. Players will be equipped with the skills to move to the next level of the Junior Program.
Junior ProgramHigh School aged athletes; with moderate volleyball experience (inter-school participation or similar) Exceptions can be made to Primary School aged athletes with higher skill levels
Our tradition Junior Program is a series of skill and game-based training sessions seeking to develop and correct the core essential skills of volleyball This training session is for players equipped with the skills to work as a team in a more competitive setting but there is sill a high level of focus on skill acquisition and technique correction.
The program acts as a development program for athletes wishing to potentially enter the Junior State League Program, with the La Trobe Eagles, or to simply continue their development of skills and game play.
